Daffodils - Backyard Blooms
What to do when life has forced you to stay home and paint?  With our big yard, there are plenty of new flowers emerging and no excuse for source material to paint!  Get going!

More paintings at Jensen Ringmakers Gallery

Head over to Jensen Ringmakers Gallery in downtown Twin Falls to see these 8" x 8" flowers.  They are framed in 16" x 16" frames with a big wide Matt.  They look pretty cool when they are hung on the wall in a square.  These pieces are the product of my summer of sketching in gardens with a nice group of painters in Ketchum.  Fun times.  Great gardens!

Le Bouquet

Art and Soul of the Magic Valley starts tomorrow in Twin Falls.  Two full weeks of art on display all around town.  This is a pic of my entry for the contest.  I am fortunate to have my painting on display at Rosebud's Florist here in Twin Falls.  Nice people and a great store.  Desiree said she was going to do a look alike bouquet to display near my piece.  Cool huh!

Poppies

Poppies! Soon to be everywhere.  This painting was done with a splash technique, and then I added detail.  It's part of the Flower Power Series that I'm working on.  Hard to resist as things start to bloom.

Early Spring Pinks

This piece is a part of the Flower Power Series I have been working on.  Bold bright colors, and a reflection of spring.  Don't forget to visit all the great art on display in the Art & Soul contest in Twin Falls.  178 fine pieces of art work in 45 businesses.  It runs through May 5!  Visit Flutter to see my entry.
