Daffodils - Backyard Blooms
What to do when life has forced you to stay home and paint?  With our big yard, there are plenty of new flowers emerging and no excuse for source material to paint!  Get going!

Art & Soul Entry 2020

Camp Host on the Gros Ventre

This gentleman is my entry for Art & Soul this year.  It will be featured at Colliers International in Twin Falls.  They are located downtown in the remodeled building on the corner of 2nd and Shoshone.  You know, up stairs from Milner's Gate restaurant!  Happy to be showing this watercolor in their lovely venue.  The piece will be on display April 10-25.  Stop in for a look at this piece and don't forget to vote at Twin Falls Center for the Arts!

Day 7 and Another Snow Storm on the Way!

Day 7 of the Thirty Paintings in Thirty Days Challenge.  This piece is currently at the Full Moon Gallery here in Twin Falls as part of the Twin Falls Center for the Arts winter show.  It is an 8" x 10" watercolor on a birch block.  The block is coated with Watercolor Ground and then painted and finally sprayed to preserve the finish.  It sits nicely on a shelf or hangs easily on the wall.

And yes, another snow storm on the way.  They are predicting 6 to 12 inches.  Just wondering where we will put it!  Staying in the warm today!

Festival of Giving

This painting is called First Snow.  It is on display at the Festival of Giving at the Southern Idaho Landscape Center as part of the fundraiser for local non-profits.  The Magic Valley Arts Council has sponsored a tree and the buyer will take home this painting as well!  The opening gala last night was very festive, beautifully decorated and it was so good to see old friends and meet some new ones!

Underfoot!

More aspens!  This piece is an experiment in negative painting which means that I start with a design and then paint the negative spaces around it adding more leaves as it goes deeper.  Also experimenting with water droplets.  All fun!

Time for Aspens!

Nature Patterns is the name of this latest piece in my Aspen Series.  I placed it today in the Full Moon Gallery at the Twin Falls Center for the Arts.  Stop in the lobby to see it and let me know what you think.  Look closely for the residents of this piece.
